Below are two examples of Civil War era ball gowns. To illustrate some possible choices of fabrics, two versions of the ball gowns are shown. The gown pictured to the left is constructed of PVC - making it ideal as a unique club or party item. The gown pictured to the right is constructed out of linens and silk, and therefore more appropriate to reenactment usage. A fairly wide range of fabrics and patterns can be accomodated to create a piece unique to each owner.
To increase the fullness of the gown, and to make more authentic, each dress is shown worn with an optional hoop skirt.
